Within this painting Frida Kahlo, uses a variety of paint types , including primary ,secondary and few traces of tertiary colors.these colors are greens light browns ,black , dark greens and golden yellow etc, Such colors may have been chosen by the artist ,to her suggest her daily personal life, as well as representing her Mexican culture and traditions, as the humming bird in Mexico is used as a sign of luck in love, hence the reason behind the dead humming bird included, by the artist Frida Kahlo. These particular colors may have been also applied , to suggest the artists everyday daily life ,of being sunny bright ,due tot he fact of tropical plants and flowers within the background, and the country she lives in Mexico is hot and mainly sunny.
